Objective of the workshop:

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy is a powerful, continually evolving analytical technique with wide applications in chemical, biological, pharmaceutical and medical sciences. Over the last two decades, the technique has made rapid strides  both in theory and in applications, and has flourished dramatically both in technology and methodological fronts. Therefore, there is a growing need in the nation for skilled personnel trained in NMR especially in spectral data analysis and interpretation, in academia and industry. In continuation of our earlier efforts, the CBMR, Lucknow has decided to continue creating the awareness in the area of principles and interdisciplinary applications of NMR (both solution state and solid state) among young researchers working at various academic and teaching institutions of higher learning and research in the country. This intensive workshop will give the participants a valuable opportunity to gain knowledge and practical experience in NMR data processing, spectral analysis and interpretation for its applications in biomedical and industrial research.  The workshop will be conducted at Centre of Biomedical Research (CBMR: cbmr.res.in) Lucknow and the principal speakers will be invited from major institutions working in the field from all over the country. The course will consist of about four lectures per day in addition to practical sessions and tutorials. The workshop will be restricted to a maximum of thirty participants with not more than twelve from out station.
